A Mid Wales attraction is promising ‘Wales’ most terrifyingly fun Halloween night out’ when Terror Mountain returns between October 18-31. Celebrating its fifth year of fear, Terror Mountain is the creation of the Silver Mountain Experience at Llywernog Silver-Lead Mine, Ponterwyd, near Aberystwyth and this year it has five hair-raising, goose bump inducing live action horror attractions.

The Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) near Machynlleth is seeing huge increases in the number of tourists visiting to learn about sustainable living. Visitor numbers have seen risen by 35% compared to the previous year, with July numbers showing a significant 58% increase on 2018.

Llanfair line celebrates firsts at its steam gala

Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway celebrated two milestones at its annual Steam Gala from August 30 to September 1.

The event saw the entry into service of the oldest locomotive to run on the Mid Wales line, following an unprecedented effort by the railway’s mechanical engineering department.

Tense Finale to Annual Fishing Match

Owners on Morben Isaf Holiday Park participated in the Annual Fishing Match held on the Park Lake. Everyone entered into the competition with determination and light hearted banter! Lots of laughs combined with frustration for some but overall a great afternoon with some nice fish caught by young and old. Prizes awarded for Winners of most fish caught and heaviest fish. Well done to all who took part.
