Fantastic Support for Machynlleth Lantern Procession 2019

Staff and Owners on Morben Isaf participated in the Machynlleth Lantern Procession, which is held every year in the town.  The theme for 2019 was Alice in Wonderland and there was an amazing selection of Lanterns on display.

Although the forecast wasn’t favourable, the event was well supported both by the local Community and Visitors to the area, with hundreds lining the streets to witness the procession.  Lantern making Workshops were organised in the week leading up to the event.  Many local groups, Schools and individuals took part. The procession was led by a band of drummers which added to the fantastic atmosphere and helped take your mind of the rain!  With the help of Owners on Park, Morben Isaf made the Mad Hatters Top Hat, Toadstool, Playing Card, Rabbit, Pocket Watch, Cup and Teapot.  It was great to see all ages taking part and we look forward to seeing what next years’ theme will be!  The Procession finale was a organised Firework Display which once again was well supported.  A big thank you to the many Volunteers for giving up their time and energy to organise such a great Community event.
