Richard and Sue Hodgson, managers of Castle View Holiday Home Park, are set to swap their holiday lodges for narrowboats.
The couple have been managing Castle View for the last four years and are now taking a break from the holiday park to explore England and Wales by river! Despite a previous travelling break, Richard and Sue have been associated with Salop Caravan Sites for a total of 17 years. This included the development and management of both the Min-y-don and Castle View Holiday Home Parks.
Sue and Richard will be handing over the Castle View keys to current Min-y-don managers, Kayleigh and Zac Bradbury. Castle View’s popularity sees just 1 of 59 plots available as we approach the holiday season.
“We have really enjoyed our time as park managers, as we have met lots of lovely people and we are going to miss walking the dog on the beach every day and the view of Harlech Castle,” said Sue. “It’s a lovely place to live and work in beautiful surroundings.”
On their previous travelling break, the Hodgson’s explored the waterways of England and Wales, and are looking forward to discovering new places once again.
“We love the peace and tranquillity of boating,” added Sue. “It’s just like people tell us they enjoy about owning a caravan. You get a different view from your window every morning. We tend to moor at little villages in the middle of nowhere, which is what we are looking forward to doing again.”
Castle View and Min-y-don Holiday Parks are ideally situated between Harlech Castle and the stunning Harlech beach, and nestled alongside world-renowned Royal St David’s Golf Club’s championship course.
