Salop Caravans COVID-19 Update February 2021:
Following the recent COVID-19 announcements, unfortunately Salop Caravan Sites are not permitted by both the Welsh and English Governments to open as normal on 1st March 2021.
On Friday 19th February, the First Minister of Wales announced a further three-week lockdown for Wales. The next review will take place during the week ending the 12th March when we hope to receive confirmation of when we can open and what restrictions will be in place. We are disappointed with this news as we’re sure all of our owners are.
Yesterday, on 22nd February, Boris Johnson announced that during βStep 1β (up to 12th April at the earliest), people should continue to minimise travel wherever possible, and should not be staying away from home overnight. But we anticipate from the 12th April at the very earliest, self-contained caravans and lodges can be used by members of the same household.
So, as we feared, it looks like once again there could be some differences between Wales and England for COVID-19 regulations. We promise we will keep a close eye on matters and advise to all owners as and when we receive further clarification and guidance.
As always, we will keep you updated. This has been a challenging situation for us all. Some have lost loved ones, others being very ill with the virus. But we hope very soon we will be welcoming everyone back to our Parks.
Thank you for your continued support and patience during this uncertain time.
