We understand that dogs are just as much a part of the family as our human relatives, and that’s why all Salop Caravan Sites holiday home parks are dog friendly. But it’s not just our parks that appreciate four-legged friends; Wales, where all our holiday homes are situated, is one of the most dog friendly places in the UK. We’ve taken a look at some of the best things you can do with your dog when you’re out and about exploring Wales.
Best dog walks
All of our Holiday Home Parks in Wales are situated near excellent walking trails. Whether you’re at one of our coastal caravan parks or you own a holiday home at Seven Oaks near the great Shropshire Hills, there’s something for all walking abilities and most importantly, all creatures.
Some of the best walks in the UK are in Snowdonia National Park, a beautiful dog friendly area that most of our caravan parks are located nearby. You will most likely need to keep them on their leads as there is a lot of livestock in the area, but there are trails of a variety of different lengths to choose from depending on your pooch’s stamina.
Dog friendly beaches
Harlech beach, on the doorstep of holiday home owners in Min-y-don Holiday Home Park, is a dog friendly beach all year round. A large and unspoilt seafront on the Cardigan Coast, Harlech beach is the perfect place for fun and relaxation for both humans and dogs.
The southern sections of Tywyn beach, near Glan-y-don and Morben Isaf Holiday Park, are also dog friendly. Tywyn beach is a beautiful and expansive seaside which welcomes water-sports enthusiasts, sunbathers and everyone in between!
Dog friendly cafes, pubs, and restaurants
The Plas Restaurant, overlooking stunning views across Harlech and Harlech Castle, is just a 15-minute drive from Castle View Holiday Home Park and Min-y-don Holiday Home Park. This dog-friendly café is the perfect spot for your four-legged friends to relax in after a long walk on Harlech beach!
The Cross Foxes, just 25 miles from Seven Oaks Holiday Home Park, is a dog friendly pub and restaurant set against beautiful views of the river. The pub owners also host charity dog walks, so get the family out and enjoy a great meal followed by a scenic dog walk in Wales.
Dog friendly days out
Zip World are happy to allow dogs onsite providing they stay on the lead. So, if the family day trip is an adventure out to Zip World, no one has to stay at home! Whilst you can’t take your pups down to the mine tour, there’s a pet stop which will dog sit for you whilst you experience the Llecwedd Deep Mine.
