Salop Caravan Sites Covid-19 update November 2020

November 2020

Latest Covid-19 restrictions

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement that England will enter a 4 week Lockdown on Thursday 5th November we wish to make all Holiday Home Owners across Salop Caravan Sites and Bywater Leisure Parks aware of the implications for visiting the Parks and using their Holiday Home over the next few weeks and of course, a reminder that Wales is currently mid-way through their total Fire Break Lockdown

We have received several requests from Owners asking to visit their Park to close their caravan down before England go into lockdown on 5th November.  We are sorry this is not possible due to the current Welsh guidelines and from Thursday 5th November Westminster have prohibited such travel.

For Wales Government Guidelines:

Can I travel to and from my second home during the lockdown?

Until Monday 9 November at 12:01am, travel in Wales without a reasonable excuse is an offence. Travelling into, out of or within Wales to visit, check or inspect a holiday home or stay in a second home is not a reasonable excuse.

The same rules apply to caravans, boats and other temporary accommodation.

Caravan owners will need to make arrangements with the site owners to winterise their caravans after the circuit breaker lockdown period has ended. However, following the announcement made by the Welsh First Minister on Monday 2nd November

If you live in Wales, you will be able to use your Holiday Home from 9am on the 9th November.

If you are an owner living in England please see Westminster/English guidelines:

Unfortunately, England will be in lockdown until the 2nd December meaning that from Thursday 5th November owners living in England cannot travel on holiday or to a second home anywhere. As a reminder as per Welsh guidelines above, established on the 23rd October coupled with English guidelines, you cannot travel to Wales until 2nd December:

Overnight stays and holidays away from primary residences will not be allowed. This includes holidays abroad and in the UK. It also means you cannot stay in a second home, if you own one, or staying with anyone you do not live with or are in a support bubble with.

As we hope you will appreciate we are responding to an ever changing situation and this is what we plan under the current scenario but everything is subject to review if the Law and subsequent Guidance changes for England and/or Wales.

Above all, we sincerely hope that you all stay safe and well during these difficult times.
